Irene Nowyckyj Johnson to ‎Kris Kemp-Erickson
When are you going to post what job Jason accepted and where you will be living? What's that saying about curious people wanting to know???
Kris Kemp-Erickson - I will post when we know and have made a decision... But we hope to know by the end of next week. Possibly deciding between UT or VA. I'll post when we know for sure that it will be one of those two.

Dustie Powell Rodriguez to Kris Kemp-Erickson
How awesome! I hear that area is beautiful. Take it all in & enjoy it! You are definitely a northwestern girl, so I know you'll be back! Hopefully Idaho will be on the list to visit. Love ya girl.
Kris Kemp-Erickson - Yeah Jason likes VA and thinks it's alot like the NW. I will certainly enjoy it, while it lasts - hopefully. I really am a NW girl. Oh yeah if we move to WA, we will have to go right through ID to come to UT so of course we will stop by and see all of you guys!  Thanks D, I love ya too!
Dustie Powell Rodriguez - Well that would be awesome! How fun for you guys. Make sure you blog about all your adventures & post pictures of your cute family.
Kris Kemp-Erickson - Me - Yeah we are very excited! I will for sure! We hope you guys find a job where ever you're supposed to be as well.

New Adventure

We finally know where we are going and with what job – yay, yay, yay!!! I (Kris) am so happy we finally know – the waiting is always the hardest part, but now it’s over! Jason got this really great job doing Computer Forensics & Programming with a company called FTI Consulting. He will be working in DC, but we will actually be living in Virginia (it's about 45 min. Southwest of DC). Long story short FTI provides assistance for other companies and government agencies with gathering information for legal purposes. Freeze certain information that needs to stay as it is or if data is lost and needs to be recovered. Well they would send someone like Jason to go get the information that needs to be collected, found or recovered. There is so much more to it than that, but that’s some of it. They also want to utilize his programming skills as well, so he will get to do both; which he is very excited about!

Jason will be going out ahead of time to find us a place to live and then once he’s found a place he will fly back and we will all move out together. He will be starting around the middle/end of June. We are hoping to all be moved out there by the beginning/middle of July, but that all depends on how soon he can find us a place to live. Jason will get to ride the train into DC, which is very nice for Kris ‘cause she will have access to a car again, yay! We are so excited about this new adventure; this is a great opportunity for Jason’s career and for our family. Kris can’t wait to see all of the historical sites - there's so much to see!

We will miss our family, friends and UT or course, but there is a big plus to this job. They have an office in Seattle, WA – wha-hoo. We are very much hoping (and have been told it isn’t hard to transfer to other offices), so we are hoping once he has been working in the DC office for 2-3 years that we can try and transfer to the Seattle office. We love the Northwest! It’s our kind of climate, area and much closer to family, friends and UT at least much closer than Virginia.  Jason may still try and one day work for NCIS or some other government agency, but that will have to wait for some other time down the road.

Right now we are very happy with this new job opportunity and look forward to the road untraveled. We are so blessed and are very grateful this bit of good fortune has come our way! Thank you to everyone who has prayed for us and supported us on this journey. We love you all and will miss you a great deal. Not to worry though, we may not be able to visit too much while living in VA, but hopefully if we get the chance to move to WA we will be able to visit much more often. Well that’s it for now. Check up on our blog from time to time, so you can see all of our fun adventures on the East coast… Take care and bye for now!
